Senior Accountant – GCC Shared Services

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead accounting operations for multiple GCC entities within a shared services centre. The role ensures accurate journal posting, timely financial reporting and compliance with IFRS while supporting regional stakeholders under defined service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Execute end‑to‑end accounting cycles including journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and provisions across several legal entities.
• Maintain General Ledger integrity and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and internal policies.
• Collaborate with AP, AR and other finance teams, manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations and eliminations.
• Oversee fixed‑asset accounting – capitalization, depreciation and disposals.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, resolve discrepancies and ensure robust financial controls.
• Provide regional finance stakeholders with accurate data, analysis and support for statutory compliance.
• Drive process harmonisation, continuous improvement and automation initiatives within the shared services environment.
• Utilise SAP (or other ERP) for transaction processing, reporting and dashboard creation.
• Support internal and external audit activities with audit‑ready documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA or CMA is an advantage.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a high‑volume shared services or multi‑entity environment.
• Experience with GCC or multi‑country finance operations is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail and fluency in English.
