Senior Fire Protection Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to lead mechanical design activities for projects based in Cairo. The role involves creating detailed mechanical drawings, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring all designs comply with current codes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical drawings and ensure they follow professional standards and symbols.
• Coordinate with other departments and senior engineers to develop alternatives and project options.
• Report progress of assigned tasks to the department head and follow the project work program.
• Supervise draftsmen, providing support and advice to project teams.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, bills of quantities, and contract documents.
• Verify that all designs, drawings, and documents meet current codes and standards.
• Generate complex drawings, charts, and bills of materials for major installations.
• Handle design change requests promptly and ensure design‑to‑cost targets are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4 to 7 years of experience in an engineering consultancy environment.
• Preferably experience in KSA.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
