About the role

This 6‑week internship with UNICEF’s Social and Behavior Change (SBC) team focuses on girls’ empowerment in Cairo, Egypt. Working under the SBC Specialist – Girls’ Empowerment, the intern will help design, coordinate and document initiatives that promote gender equality and positive behavioural shifts among adolescents.

Key responsibilities

Assist in preparing and reviewing briefing notes, presentations, concept notes and other content related to girls’ empowerment.
Organise programme data, draft summary reports and document key insights and lessons learned.
Support communication and coordination with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment of activities.
Provide administrative and logistical support to the Girls’ Empowerment Unit.

Required profile

Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree programme, or a recent graduate (within 2 years).
Strong academic performance as demonstrated by recent university records.
Fluency in Arabic.
