Store Manager - Marks & Spencer

About the role

The Store Manager leads the team to achieve retail objectives while creating a welcoming environment that delivers an exceptional customer experience in-store and across digital channels. The role covers sales, service standards, stock management and operational efficiency, and is open to candidates with 10+ years of retail or F&B sales experience.

Key responsibilities

• Sales: deliver the store sales plan, lead a selling culture, analyse management information regularly, and build internal and external relationships to maximise footfall
• Stock: maximise stock accuracy and on-shelf availability, manage food fill and top-up, verify and sign off daily stock reports
• Service: coach the team on service, resolve customer complaints promptly, and ensure the team's appearance meets M&S standards
• Standards: deliver Ready to Trade Standards, comply with safety regulations, collaborate with visual teams, and control operating costs
• People: manage and develop the team, handle recruitment, and apply HR policies fairly
• Costs: minimise losses, manage waste and staffing budgets, and review monthly cost reports and staffing models

Required profile

• High school education, preferably a university degree
• 10+ years of experience in retail or F&B sales
• F&B hygiene knowledge and certification required
• Proven verbal communication and customer service skills
