Store Receiver

About the role

Talabat, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is hiring a receiver in Cairo. The receiver handles all stock receiving at stores, making sure goods are inspected for quality, expiry and count accuracy, and that inventory is properly merchandised and organised on racks, freezers and chillers in close coordination with suppliers and the inventory team.

Key responsibilities

• Receive incoming stock shipments from suppliers, distribution centres and stores
• Inspect deliveries for damage, discrepancies and shortages and report them promptly
• Match invoices and check prices and expiry dates on all products
• Carry out quality checks on fresh and ultra-fresh items
• Record all receipts accurately in the warehouse management system
• Merchandise, replenish and organise inventory using the FEFO method
• Ensure putaway on shelves is done on time with the help of pickers
• Keep aisles clear and the receiving area clean and organised
• Maintain supplier receiving logs and work with suppliers and the inventory team to resolve shipment issues

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in warehousing, stock receiving or inventory management, preferably in the grocery industry
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage time and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle physical tasks in various store conditions

Required skills

• Familiarity with inventory management systems
• Basic computer skills
