Supply Planning Lead

About the role

The Supply Planning Lead will oversee a small team responsible for material planning within a manufacturing environment. The role ensures that material availability aligns with production schedules while maintaining efficient, compliant processes.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a team of subordinates, ensuring procedural compliance in material planning activities.
• Implement departmental policies, processes, and procedures and monitor adherence.
• Develop material plans based on the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and coordinate with sourcing to initiate contracts.
• Ensure material availability to meet monthly production targets and present regular MRP reports.
• Monitor inventory levels, expedite purchase orders, and balance production with demand.
• Maintain and use the MRP system as the primary planning tool for monitoring and control.
• Define, track, and report on KPIs for the plant supply department, organizing weekly meetings and conducting gap analyses.
• Manage costs related to finished goods and logistics, and contribute to inventory strategy development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Commerce, or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in material planning within a manufacturing facility.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
