Supply Planning Manager (Non-MEA, SU)

About the role

Mars is looking for a Supply Planning Manager (Non-MEA, Source Unit) based in Cairo. The role covers supply planning and logistics operations for FMCG markets, working with source units, market planners and activity management to meet demand, manage stock and freight costs, and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate and submit production and deployment plans based on market requirements, following up with source units on risks and opportunities and confirming the feasibility of distributor and replenishment orders.
• Manage supply constraints, apply POP and weekly ordering where needed, and keep finished goods fresh in the pipeline.
• Lead SLAs and ways of working with source units, and measure their performance through case fill and weekly phasing.
• Manage stock points, loading plans and container breakdowns, and work with logistics and ocean hub teams to secure sailing slots.
• Ensure timely billing, GIT requirements and documentation, and manage and measure 3PLs in the supply network.
• Optimize logistics lanes, improve GS phasing and container utilization, and lead weekly meetings with source units and market planners.
• Drive continuous improvement, standardize processes, set KPIs and use root cause analysis tools such as Pareto, fishbone and 5Y.
• Build expertise in the supply network systems, including Atlas/SAP and PDLS Hub, and become an Atlas end user.

Required profile

• Engineering, economics or a relevant master's degree (supply chain, planning or business management).
• 3 to 5 years of supply planning and supply chain experience, with 3 years of supply planning experience as a must.
• FMCG experience required.
• Fluent verbal and written English.

Required skills

• SAP (Atlas) expertise.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Preferred: APICS, IBF or other supply chain certification.
