Technical Furniture Engineer

About the role

We are expanding our team at woodandot (Legacy Group sister company) and are looking for a highly skilled Technical Furniture Engineer to join our growing operations in Moassasat El Zakat. The role offers flexible working arrangements, including the option to work from home, and serves as the critical link between design and manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive and accurate shop drawings for kitchens, built‑in cabinetry, and loose furniture.
• Generate precise cutting lists and material takeoffs for the factory production line.
• Utilize nesting and optimisation software to maximise panel yield and minimise waste.
• Specify and quantify all necessary hardware, fittings and mechanisms for product assembly.
• Coordinate with production teams and workshop technicians to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with engineering drawings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Applied Arts, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a technical office role within furniture manufacturing, joinery or interior fit‑out.
• High proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modelling software.
• Practical experience with cut‑list and material optimisation tools such as CutMaster, Mozaik or Cabinet Vision.
• In‑depth knowledge of wood materials, contemporary joinery techniques and industrial furniture production processes.
