About the role

Lead the Oncology Therapeutic Area at Novartis, turning strategy into impact by driving launch excellence, accelerating brand growth, and building commercial capabilities for next‑generation oncology medicines.

Key responsibilities

• Translate regional and global priorities into actionable commercial plans.
• Lead launch readiness for current and future oncology brands and indications.
• Accelerate brand performance using market insights, HCP perspectives, and competitive intelligence.
• Create an integrated One Brand Plan that aligns cross‑functional teams.
• Develop thought‑leader engagement strategies for upcoming launches.
• Influence global teams to foster a collaborative one‑team culture.
• Integrate the commercial voice into pipeline, clinical development, and business‑development decisions.
• Raise field execution standards across strategy, messaging, targeting, and resource allocation.
• Build future‑ready capabilities through inclusive leadership and succession planning.

Required profile

• 10+ years of commercial experience in healthcare or life sciences with proven P&L ownership.
• Sales and marketing leadership, preferably in oncology or a related specialty.
• Deep knowledge of customers, market dynamics, and competitor strategies; oncology experience highly valued.
• Ability to influence, collaborate, and deliver results across a complex global matrix.
• Experience driving innovation in healthcare systems and leading transformation initiatives.
• Commercial curiosity, digital fluency, strong business acumen, and a hands‑on results orientation.
