Tomato Sourcing Manager – Supply Chain & Seed Operations

About the role

The Kraft Heinz Company is seeking a Tomato Sourcing Manager to act as the commercial and operational link between the company and tomato growers, traders, paste suppliers, and the Heinz Seed business in Egypt. You will ensure continuous supply of tomatoes and tomato paste to the factory at competitive cost, required quality, and agreed lead times while managing seed operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute 1‑year and 3‑year tomato sourcing strategies aligned with Agriculture Development, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, Marketing and Finance.
• Define selection criteria for growers (quality, yield, reliability, compliance, sustainability) and conduct spend analysis.
• Create, govern and amend Ariba contracts, ensuring accurate seasonal pricing and compliance with Delegation of Authority.
• Report and track price evolution, total cost of ownership and benchmark cost breakdowns to identify cost‑down opportunities.
• Guarantee 100% coverage of tomato and paste requirements through proactive sourcing and Business Continuity Planning.
• Identify, evaluate and mitigate risks related to crop yield, quality, logistics, FX and regulatory issues in collaboration with S&OP.
• Oversee order processing, stock monitoring and onboarding of new growers to strengthen the supplier pool.
• Manage growers’ performance KPIs (yield, quality, OTIF, cost, service) and lead cross‑functional evaluations.
• Drive value‑engineering initiatives in the factory and coordinate supplier support for new product development.
• Manage inside‑sales execution for Heinz tomato seeds, including order entry, invoicing, delivery, registration, import, pricing and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in agricultural sourcing and supplier relationship management.
• Strong analytical ability to conduct spend analysis, cost benchmarking and risk assessment.
• Demonstrated capability to develop and implement multi‑year sourcing strategies.
• Experience handling contract creation and governance using procurement platforms.
• Familiarity with seed registration, import processes and regulatory compliance.
