Transformation Lines Production Shift Engineer

About the role

The Transformation Lines Production Shift Engineer is responsible for leading a manufacturing shift, ensuring health, safety, environmental compliance, and delivering production targets on Saint‑Gobain's transformation lines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage health, safety and environment processes, including permits to work, safe systems, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Lead and develop the shift team: discipline, grievance handling, performance management, attendance monitoring and training planning.
• Oversee technical performance of transformation lines: plan actualisation, budget yield, loss control, change management, equipment monitoring and emergency response.
• Ensure product quality through non‑conformance control, lab test plan execution and meeting customer specifications.
• Control costs by managing outsourced manpower and consumables, and support WCM and global/local projects.
• Maintain compliance with statutory, occupational health, environmental legislation and Saint‑Gobain QMS.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechatronics, Process Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience managing a team in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of health and safety legislation, employment law basics, permit‑to‑work systems and people policies.
• Awareness of environmental legislation and ability to apply it in daily operations.
