About the role

The Accounting Manager will report to the Head of Finance at Savills Egypt and will be responsible for the end‑to‑end management of corporate finance activities in Egypt. The role ensures strong commercial and governance health, drives system efficiencies, and maintains compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Support effective financial controls and ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis for commercial decision‑making and long‑term planning.
  • Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to achieve financial goals.
  • Manage payroll and the Remco process in coordination with HR and the central team.
  • Oversee monthly, half‑year and full‑year financial reporting in line with corporate timelines.
  • Ensure adherence to group policies, Egyptian tax laws and governance requirements.
  • Monitor cash flow, treasury activities and liquidity management for Egypt operations.
  • Liaise with legal and risk teams on local documents and risk protocols.
  • Submit local tax returns and filings to Egyptian tax authorities.
  • Support operational teams on technical finance issues, including direct and indirect tax matters.
  • Assist internal and external audit processes and implement improvement actions.
  • Contribute to ESG initiatives and manage the local risk & compliance function.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CA or equivalent).
  • Minimum 10 + years of corporate finance experience, preferably in professional services or real estate.
  • Fluent Arabic speaker (mandatory) and strong English communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence cross‑functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and composure under pressure.

Required skills

  • Advanced knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Expertise in Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS / Egyptian GAAP).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (advanced level).
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (G‑Suite) at an advanced level.
