Assistant Security Manager

About the role

The Assistant Security Manager will support DP World Sokhna Logistics Park in safeguarding its logistics operations, including warehouses, container yards and transport hubs. This role ensures compliance with security regulations and maintains strong relationships with government and regulatory bodies to enable uninterrupted, lawful logistics activities.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and implement security protocols across all logistics sites, such as warehouses, container storage yards and transport entry/exit points.
• Monitor and control access using CCTV, biometric access systems, vehicle scanning equipment and physical security checks.
• Provide round‑the‑clock protection of stored goods, goods in transit and company assets.
• Investigate theft, tampering, loss or unauthorized activity, delivering root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate emergency response drills, including fire, cargo theft, unauthorized access and transportation delays.
• Support EHS compliance by ensuring security staff follow safety and environmental procedures.
• Oversee third‑party security vendors, ensuring they meet SLA and performance standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with customs, traffic police, transport regulators, labor authorities and civil defence.
• Facilitate acquisition and renewal of permits, licences and approvals required for logistics operations.
• Represent the company in official matters with ministries, municipalities and regulatory bodies.
• Assist internal departments in resolving government‑related operational challenges and manage legal documentation for sensitive cargo.
• Liaise on labour, strike or logistics dispute issues involving public bodies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Law or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in security or government relations within logistics, supply chain, transportation or freight forwarding.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities when dealing with government and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies.
• Leadership, problem‑solving, organisational and time‑management skills.
• Good command of English.
