Boarding Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Boarding Officer to join our global maritime team in Port Said. The role involves coordinating vessel port calls, ensuring compliance with company SOPs and customer requirements, and supporting safe and cost‑effective vessel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Attend and board vessels as required, following SOPs and client specifications.
• Coordinate all aspects of assigned port calls to guarantee seamless operations.
• Advise on contractor selection and obtain competitive service quotes.
• Maintain full compliance with Port Services procedures and use the WASP system for mandatory reporting.
• Monitor vessel status, respond to inquiries, and verify pre‑funding authorizations.
• Keep vessel files up‑to‑date and provide real‑time system updates.
• Report business leads, opportunities, and port updates to management.
• Track and record all expenses, manage Cash‑in‑Transit, and review supplier invoices.
• Follow PPE standards, QHSSE procedures, and contribute ideas for operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Solid maritime background with hands‑on experience in ship agency operations.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Good understanding of operational processes, port regulations, local authorities, and tariffs.
• Self‑driven, results‑oriented, highly organized with a proactive mindset.
• Ability to anticipate issues, implement preventive actions, and make sound judgments in fast‑paced environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the WASP reporting system.
