About the role
This position supports the senior chefs at Morgans Originals Hotel in Egypt by preparing ingredients, assisting with cooking, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. It is an entry‑level role designed for individuals eager to develop their culinary skills within a vibrant hospitality brand.
Key responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs in the preparation and cooking of vegetables, fruits, meats, and other food items.
- Follow recipes and cooking techniques to ensure consistent food quality.
- Perform mise en place tasks, setting up workstations and organizing ingredients before service.
- Monitor ingredient freshness, store items correctly, and rotate stock to minimize waste.
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards, cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment, tools, and utensils.
- Support various kitchen stations (starters, mains, pastry) as required.
- Help with plating, food presentation, and timely service delivery.
- Assist with inventory checks, reporting low stock, and ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Perform additional kitchen duties such as dishwashing and general cleanliness.
Required profile

- Positive orientation and willingness to learn and develop in a fast‑paced kitchen.
- Ability to follow operational decisions and work safely under supervision.
