Engineer I

About the role

We are looking for an Engineer I to join our facilities team at a hotel in Cairo. The role focuses on responding to guest maintenance requests, performing preventive upkeep, and ensuring all building systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and pneumatic/electronic systems.
• Perform minor carpentry, painting, drywall, and wood‑trim repairs.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and use the lockout/tagout system before work.
• Service landscaping and sprinkler systems, program televisions, and update air‑handler schedules.
• Document daily activities and hand over information to subsequent shifts.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Ability to follow safety and security policies, including lockout/tagout procedures.
• Good communication skills and professional appearance.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and assist with heavier items.
