External Audit Manager – Assurance (Cairo)

About the role

EY is seeking an experienced External Audit Manager to join its Assurance team in Cairo. You will lead complex audit engagements, drive the growth of the audit practice, and work with a diverse, globally connected team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver high‑quality, risk‑based audit engagements for a portfolio of clients.
• Manage audit teams, allocate resources, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Support the development and expansion of the audit business in the region.

Required profile

• Strong academic background with a university degree and an accounting qualification (ACCA or CPA).
• Minimum 7 years of external audit experience, including team management.
• Previous experience at a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Fluent in Arabic and English with strong presentation abilities.
• Knowledge of current and upcoming IFRS standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with audit tools and data‑analytics software.
• Understanding of IFRS reporting requirements.
• Project management capabilities.
