Fleet Transportation Specialist

About the role

The Fleet Transportation Specialist coordinates daily transportation operations, ensuring that fleet dispatch activities align with distribution plans. This role bridges warehouse operations, planning teams, and drivers to guarantee timely and efficient deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and monitor daily distribution plans in collaboration with warehouse and planning teams.
• Organize vehicle dispatch schedules based on priority and operational needs.
• Assign drivers to outbound routes and manage shift allocations.
• Ensure completion of pre‑trip vehicle inspection checklists for all fleet units.
• Maintain operational communication groups and disseminate instructions promptly.
• Create, track, and follow up on daily operational tasks and assignments.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with drivers and maintenance teams before the 300 km threshold.
• Develop loading schedules and adjust driver timings as required.
• Handle shipped and delayed pallets, securing proper documentation with the warehouse team.
• Prepare daily routing plans and verify execution compliance.
• Maintain accurate attendance, absence, and leave records.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in logistics, fleet management, or a similar role, preferably in retail or wholesale trade.
• Strong analytical abilities and data‑driven decision‑making experience.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external stakeholder relationships.

Required skills

• Proficiency with logistics software.
• Advanced use of MS Office Suite.
• Experience with ERP systems (preferred).
