Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer will safeguard the property at Galae Square, Cairo by monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring the safety of guests and staff. This full‑time, on‑site position requires proactive patrols, rapid emergency response, and thorough documentation of all security‑related events.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and control access to rooms and entrances.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms and fire‑life‑safety systems in real time.
• Respond to accidents, medical emergencies, and security incidents, providing first aid/CPR when needed.
• Defuse disturbances, escort unwanted persons, and coordinate with external assistance using proper code responses.
• Complete incident reports, daily shift summaries and loss‑prevention activity logs while maintaining confidentiality.
• Conduct physical hazard inspections, lock property entrances as required, and report safety hazards.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence and interview relevant parties.
• Support guests and employees during emergencies, ensuring clear communication and adherence to company policies.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk or run for extended periods and lift objects up to 50 kg unassisted.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Professional appearance and commitment to confidentiality.
• Valid certifications in first aid/CPR and any local licensing required for security personnel.
