Maintenance Shift Engineer

About the role

The Maintenance Shift Engineer will oversee health, safety and environmental compliance while leading a maintenance team at the ASK Plant. You will ensure reliable operation of the float and Mirror lines, support quality objectives and manage costs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage HSE activities: permits to work, safe systems, risk assessments, incident investigations and environmental compliance.
• Lead, coach and evaluate the maintenance team, fostering discipline, performance and effective communication.
• Develop team skills through training programs, coaching and mentoring.
• Maintain technical performance of production lines: complete preventive maintenance (PPM), respond to breakdowns and contribute to weekly maintenance plans.
• Ensure product quality by maintaining equipment, meeting quality loss targets and satisfying customer requirements.
• Control costs by correctly allocating work hours and material expenses to work orders.
• Support WCM initiatives and act as sponsor or member on global and local projects.
• Comply with statutory OHS regulations, company policies and the QMS.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably continuous process.
• Good knowledge of health and safety legislation and its practical application.
• Basic understanding of employment law and people policies (discipline, grievance, absence management, skills development).
• Familiarity with permit‑to‑work systems, LOTO procedures and environmental legislation.
