Network Team Lead

About the role

The Network & Network Security Lead is responsible for the integrity, performance, and security of the organization’s networking environment. This senior position requires deep expertise in enterprise networking, security architecture, and hands‑on troubleshooting across complex, regulated financial infrastructures.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of enterprise network and security architecture aligned with business and compliance requirements.
• Own and resolve high‑severity incidents across Layer 1‑7, including routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, proxies and cloud networking.
• Mentor the team on routing, switching, NGFWs, load balancers, VPNs, SD‑WAN, ACI, SD‑Access and NAC.
• Implement network segmentation, zero‑trust strategies and support incident response and threat mitigation.
• Oversee network performance, availability and efficiency while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Lead critical infrastructure projects such as migrations, upgrades and partner connectivity.
• Evaluate, select and manage vendors, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Maintain documentation and policies to satisfy financial‑sector audits (PCI‑DSS, ISO 27001).

Required profile

• 7+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a network‑security leadership role.
• Deep hands‑on expertise in enterprise networking, SDN, and firewall administration (Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.).
• Full‑stack knowledge of routing, switching, DNS, VPN, proxies, load balancers, SD‑WAN, NAC and Wi‑Fi.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for multi‑vendor, multi‑layer issues under pressure.
• Understanding of secure cloud networking (Azure, AWS) and hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, NCA and the Cybersecurity Framework.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering or related field.
• Preferred certifications: Cisco CCIE, CISSP/CISM, AWS or Azure Network Specialty.
