Principal Founding Full Stack Engineer – Equity Co‑Founder

About the role

Owlera is seeking a highly capable founding full‑stack engineer to own and scale its AI‑powered professional experience platform. This equity‑based, long‑term position will work directly with the founder and AI engineer to turn the MVP into a production‑ready product.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and build the core platform, including student and employer applications, authentication, internship management, missions, dashboards and performance data.
• Own both frontend and backend architecture, design scalable APIs, databases and cloud infrastructure.
• Build secure multi‑user, multi‑company systems and integrate AI managers, evaluators and other AI services.
• Implement real‑time communication, interactive workplace experiences, and establish deployment, monitoring, testing and security processes.
• Leverage AI coding tools to accelerate development and make pragmatic build‑vs‑buy decisions.
• Help transition Owlera from MVP to production and later lead the engineering team as the company grows.

Required profile

• Strong experience in modern full‑stack product development using Node.js/TypeScript, React/Next.js, PostgreSQL, AWS and Docker.
• Proven track record of building products from 0 to 1, preferably in a startup or SaaS environment.
• Experience with real‑time systems, AI/LLM integrations, CI/CD pipelines, security and technical leadership.
• Ability to own problems, move quickly, make sound technical decisions and thrive in a small founding team.
