Professor, Associate Professor or Lecturer in Computer Science & Engineering

About the role

The Faculty of Media Engineering and Technology at the German University in Cairo is seeking full‑time faculty members at the rank of Professor, Associate Professor or Lecturer in Computer Science and Engineering, commencing September 2026. Candidates will join a multicultural academic environment dedicated to research excellence and high‑quality teaching.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop independent research programmes, securing external funding.
• Supervise graduate and undergraduate students on research projects and theses.
• Design, deliver and continuously improve undergraduate and graduate courses.
• Participate in departmental and university administrative duties.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated research experience and a strong publication record.
• Commitment to teaching excellence in a diverse, multicultural setting.
• Interest in any area of Computer Science and Engineering, with particular emphasis on distributed systems, embedded systems, optimization and constraint programming, or robotics.
