Quality Assurance Compliance Manager

About the role

We are seeking a senior Compliance & Sustainability leader to establish and head a new function that oversees certifications, regulatory affairs, internal audit, and Fair Trade programs for a leading Egyptian producer of natural essential oils and aromatic extracts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the roadmap for international certifications (FSSC 22000, ISO 9001/22000, Organic, IFRA, Fair for Life, Halal) from gap analysis to renewal.
• Lead regulatory compliance with NFSA, EOS, REACH, FDA and other export‑market requirements.
• Design and manage Fair for Life / Fair Trade frameworks with contracted farmers, including contracts, pricing fairness, community projects and impact reporting.
• Create and supervise the internal audit program, CAPA closure, SOP lifecycle and document control across all sites.
• Coordinate ESG and sustainability reporting (water, energy, emissions, community impact) and respond to customer sustainability requests.
• Build and develop a small team covering sustainability, internal audit and documentation.
• Represent the company with certification bodies, regulators and key international clients on compliance and ESG topics.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Compliance or Sustainability within food, essential oils, ingredients or related manufacturing.
• At least 5 years in a leadership role managing quality/compliance systems and external audits.
• Hands‑on experience with FSSC 22000 or ISO 22000 / ISO 9001 certifications.
• Strong knowledge of export regulatory requirements such as NFSA, EOS, REACH, FDA.
• Fluent Arabic and very good English with strong stakeholder and negotiation skills.
