Real Estate Head – North Africa & Levant

About the role

The Real Estate Head for North Africa & Levant will lead a professional team responsible for the full lifecycle of Citi’s property portfolio across the region. This senior position combines strategic asset management, operational excellence, and commercial accountability to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement best‑practice real‑estate processes and control subcontractors on a national scale.
• Coordinate the regional Life & Safety programme in partnership with local units and supervise country safety coordinators.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and local construction, fire, sanitary and occupancy standards, including permits and concessions.
• Plan, develop and execute strategies to maximise asset value and maintain functional, safe work environments.
• Own the profit and loss (P&L) of the portfolio, establish budgets and monitor financial performance.
• Act as primary liaison for internal business units and external tenants, handling new projects, renovations, space planning, relocations and disposals.
• Oversee project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets and quality standards are met.
• Manage the service desk as the single point of contact for internal and external requests, driving service quality.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in real‑estate or facilities management, preferably at a senior leadership level.
• Strong commercial awareness with proven P&L responsibility.
• Excellent communication, diplomacy and influencing skills to work with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Ability to lead, develop and evaluate multidisciplinary teams.
• Solid understanding of safety, regulatory and environmental requirements in the region.
