Route to Market Manager

About the role

The Route to Market Manager will design, implement and continuously improve JTI’s Route‑to‑Market (RTM) and Territory Approach. Reporting to the RTC & Sales Effectiveness Lead, you will ensure effective coverage, efficient resource deployment and high‑quality execution across all sales channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop RTM/RTC strategy, define coverage targets and align them with consumer acquisition priorities.
• Design territory structures, route plans, visit frequencies and resource requirements for GT, MT, WS and HORECA channels.
• Govern trade segmentation principles and ensure coverage plans match channel priorities.
• Track RTM efficiency metrics (cost per call, cost per outlet, productivity) and identify optimisation opportunities.
• Conduct field and customer visits to assess execution quality and benchmark competitor RTM models.
• Provide RTM training to field teams and maintain continuous improvement of the model.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Route to Market, Sales Operations, Supply Chain or a related function.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics processes.
• Proven experience in managing and improving field‑force effectiveness.
• Analytical thinking, problem‑solving and project‑management capabilities.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
