Senior Backend Engineer – .NET & Laravel

About the role

Foodics is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain high‑performance backend services that power its restaurant management and payment platform. You will work primarily with .NET technologies while also supporting existing PHP Laravel applications.

Key responsibilities

• Define and guide the architecture of multiple backend services and web applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers across teams.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and high‑availability APIs and micro‑services using .NET.
• Contribute to and evolve existing Laravel applications.
• Write clean, well‑tested, and maintainable code.
• Diagnose and resolve performance, reliability, and architectural challenges.
• Integrate data from third‑party systems, databases, and services.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Research and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience developing large‑scale backend systems.
• Strong expertise in .NET/C#.
• Hands‑on experience with PHP and Laravel.
• Proven ability to design high‑availability, low‑latency services.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational databases and database design.
• Familiarity with caching (e.g., Redis) and queuing mechanisms.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
