Senior DevOps Engineer – Cloud Migration to GCP

About the role

Amana is expanding its fintech platform into Saudi Arabia and needs a hands‑on Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the migration of its infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Saudi regions. You will be responsible for building a secure, reliable, and scalable cloud environment that supports trading applications across backend, web, and mobile services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support infrastructure migration projects to GCP, including Azure‑to‑GCP transitions.
• Design, manage, and optimise secure cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Manage cloud‑hosted applications, VPS environments, networking, and deployment workflows.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for backend, web, and mobile platforms.
• Implement security controls such as firewalls, VPNs, private networking, and endpoint protection.
• Restrict and manage access to internal services using VPNs, IP whitelisting, reverse proxies, and cloud security features.
• Set up and maintain observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, ELK, Datadog, GCP Operations Suite, etc.).
• Enhance incident detection, troubleshooting, operational visibility, and platform reliability.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to improve reliability and deployment processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven experience migrating infrastructure between cloud providers, preferably Azure to GCP.
• Deep expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Solid Linux system administration and networking knowledge.
• Experience securing cloud infrastructure and production environments.
• Familiarity with VPNs, firewalls, reverse proxies, load balancers, and access‑control best practices.
• Experience setting up observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Proven ability to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Docker and containerised deployments.
