Senior Sous Chef

About the role

The Swissotel Sharm El Sheikh All‑Inclusive Collection is seeking an experienced Senior Sous Chef to lead kitchen operations across its multiple dining outlets and banquet facilities. You will ensure high‑quality food preparation, maintain strict hygiene standards, and support the Food & Beverage Manager in delivering memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen schedules and ensure timely preparation for all meal services and banquets.
• Conduct bi‑monthly presentations of new menu items, novelties, and service enhancements.
• Monitor and enforce kitchen hygiene, grooming standards, and uniform compliance.
• Evaluate team performance, recommend promotions, and develop future chefs.
• Control food costs by approving requisitions, minimizing waste, and conducting spot checks on product expiry dates.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in line with local legislation and internal policies.
• Handle guest complaints directly when required and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate on menu changes, food promotions, and special events as per the annual calendar.
• Ensure proper handling and maintenance of kitchen equipment and FF&E.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in a senior kitchen leadership role within a hotel or resort environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and cost control practices.
• Ability to mentor and develop kitchen staff, conduct performance reviews, and manage promotions.
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on detail and consistency.
• Professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards.
