SIEM Consultant (Cybersecurity)

About the role

Absega is seeking a SIEM Consultant to strengthen its cybersecurity team. The consultant will be responsible for managing, monitoring and continuously improving the organization’s SIEM platform to ensure timely detection and response to security threats.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and maintain SIEM components across the environment.
• Integrate diverse log sources, ensuring proper collection and normalization.
• Develop, fine‑tune and document detection use cases and correlation rules.
• Create parsers to translate raw logs into structured data.
• Troubleshoot SIEM‑related issues and provide technical support to the SOC.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• Experience in IT security, SOC operations or endpoint administration.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and follow established procedures.
• Effective communication and reporting skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SIEM platforms.
• Log source integration and normalization.
• Design and implementation of detection use cases and correlation rules.
• Parser development for log processing.
