Social & Behavior Change Internship – Girls’ Empowerment (Cairo)

About the role
This 6‑week internship with UNICEF’s Social and Behavior Change (SBC) team focuses on girls’ empowerment in Cairo, Egypt. Working under the SBC Specialist – Girls’ Empowerment, the intern will help design, coordinate and document initiatives that promote gender equality and positive behavioural shifts among adolescents.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and reviewing briefing notes, presentations, concept notes and other content related to girls’ empowerment.
- Organise programme data, draft summary reports and document key insights and lessons learned.
- Support communication and coordination with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment of activities.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the Girls’ Empowerment Unit.
Required profile
- Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree programme, or a recent graduate (within 2 years).
- Strong academic performance as demonstrated by recent university records.
- Fluency in Arabic.
