Supervisor I – Technical Support for Computer Science & Engineering Labs

About the role

The Supervisor I, Technical Support ensures the reliable operation of high‑tech equipment across the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) labs and offices. You will lead maintenance activities, diagnose faults, and support senior graduation projects by preparing presentation hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Manage maintenance operations in CSE labs and the server room.
• Supervise hardware‑focused labs such as Networks, Architecture, Digital Design, and Embedded Systems.
• Participate in the annual departmental inventory process.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic boards, lab instruments, PCs, laptops, printers, and power supplies.
• Assist in preparing hardware experiments and high‑technical projects.
• Set up presentation equipment and cabling for senior graduation projects.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the technical manager.

Required profile

• University degree in a related field or a technical diploma with relevant experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in electronics repair or hardware support.
• Reasonable command of English.
• Flexibility to work morning or evening shifts as needed.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience in electronics repair, soldering, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform precise micro‑soldering on various motherboards using specialized tools.
• Strong skills in reading and analyzing printed circuit board traces and diagnosing fine electronic faults.
• Good knowledge of PC hardware maintenance.
