Telecommunications BIM Engineer II

About the role

The Telecommunications BIM Engineer II will design, implement and support telecommunications systems on large, multidisciplinary projects. You will work across the full project lifecycle, from concept and detailed design through construction, commissioning and hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs and drawings using AutoCAD, Revit and BIM tools.
• Design structured cabling, fiber optics, telephony, radio communication, public address and access control systems.
• Prepare cost estimates, technical studies and engineering assessments.
• Research and propose solutions that comply with TIA, BICSI and other relevant standards.
• Contribute to technical specifications and evaluate contractor bids.
• Review shop drawings, update engineering drawings after change requests, and handle RFIs, submittals and site instructions.
• Participate in inspections, field surveys, testing, commissioning and performance validation.
• Produce technical reports, documentation and support project acceptance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in telecommunications systems design and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of TIA and BICSI standards.
• Professional certifications such as BICSI or PMP are a plus.
• Ability to work in fast‑paced, multi‑disciplinary project environments.
