ABAP Manager – Business Application Consulting

About the role

PwC is seeking an experienced ABAP Manager to lead SAP application development within its Business Application Consulting practice in Cairo. The role involves delivering custom SAP solutions, guiding technical teams, and ensuring seamless integration of business applications for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom SAP applications using ABAP (reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms).
• Work on SAP modules MM, SD, FI, and HR to deliver technical solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to guarantee high‑quality deliverables.
• Implement enhancements using User Exits, BADI, BAPI, and the Enhancement Framework.
• Create SmartForms, SAP Scripts, and Adobe Forms.
• Support data migration activities with LSMW and BDC techniques.
• Optimize performance of existing ABAP programs and troubleshoot issues.
• Participate in SAP upgrades, patching, and documentation of technical designs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 7–12 years of hands‑on SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong understanding of SAP architecture, NetWeaver and ECC environments.
• Proficiency in debugging, performance tuning and code optimization.
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori and OData services is a plus.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
