Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead the Accounting Department, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with IFRS/GAAP standards, and timely reporting. This senior position combines technical accounting expertise with leadership and a focus on continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Payroll.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing processes.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and provisions for completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure timely filing of all tax returns (Corporate Tax, VAT/GST, Withholding Tax).
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS/GAAP.
• Support management reporting and financial analysis.
• Maintain and enhance internal control systems and accounting policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit activities.
• Identify and implement process improvements and support ERP upgrades.
• Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team, setting objectives and providing feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
• Professional certification (CPA, CA or ACCA) required.
• 6‑10 years of accounting experience, including 2‑3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.
