Accounting Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function of our footwear manufacturing business. The role will ensure accurate financial reporting, cost control and compliance across all factory operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the accounting team, overseeing day‑to‑day activities and ensuring compliance.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes and produce financial statements and management reports.
• Control product costing, cost analysis and manufacturing cost‑control initiatives.
• Monitor inventory valuation, stock movements and perform regular inventory reconciliations.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Analyse financial performance and recommend actions to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement and warehouse teams to strengthen financial controls.
• Drive process improvements and optimise ERP utilisation across finance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing, industrial or FMCG environment.
• Strong background in cost accounting and inventory management.
• Solid knowledge of financial reporting standards and internal controls.

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
