Accounting Specialist

About the role

LC Waikiki Retail Company is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join its finance team. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end and year‑end closings, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations across its multinational operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date records of all financial transactions in line with internal policies and accounting standards.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for management review and HQ submission.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including reconciliations, journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Prepare timely tax declarations and monitor changes in tax laws to ensure proper implementation.
• Archive financial records according to legal and company requirements.
• Support internal control optimization and recommend process improvements.
• Coordinate with external auditors for periodic audits.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting by gathering and analysing relevant data.
• Assist in managing bank accounts, payments, cash‑flow projections and other financial transactions.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Economics.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar accounting role; retail experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Positive, result‑oriented attitude with good collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software; experience with SAP is a strong asset.
• Good knowledge of local tax laws and regulations.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools.
