Acquiring Business & Payment Acceptance Relationship Manager

About the role

The Acquiring Business & Payment Acceptance Relationship Manager is responsible for driving the growth of acquiring activities across assigned client groups. The role focuses on acquiring new merchants, cross‑selling electronic payment solutions and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute action plans to meet portfolio targets and grow the client base.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market calls, visits and structured acquisition processes.
• Cross‑sell POS, QR code and e‑commerce payment solutions, along with related banking products.
• Support branch teams in achieving sales targets and promote offers to targeted merchants.
• Conduct merchant visits, gather requirements, submit documentation and oversee the delivery of POS devices and services.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with merchants, handling chargebacks, complaints and retention activities.
• Monitor acquisition, activation and utilization processes, flagging bottlenecks and ensuring compliance with AML, operational risk and internal policies.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects to enhance product offerings and improve operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience in acquiring new business within the banking or payments sector.
• Strong client‑relationship skills with a focus on understanding merchant needs.
• Ability to meet or exceed sales targets and work collaboratively with branch networks.
• Good knowledge of compliance, AML and operational risk guidelines.
