Android Engineer (Remote, Backbase Certified)

About the role

We are looking for a remote Android Engineer to design, develop, and optimise Android applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. The role requires a Backbase‑certified professional who will work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to bring innovative features to life.

Key responsibilities

• Understand project needs and deliver assigned tasks on time.
• Design and build advanced Android applications using Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and launch new features.
• Conduct code reviews, maintain code quality, and enforce coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to improve performance and reliability.
• Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to boost development efficiency.
• Translate client requirements into functional mobile solutions.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest mobile technology trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience building Android mobile applications.
• Backbase certification (mandatory).
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Banking or fintech experience is a plus.
