Application Engineer – Physical Security Software

About the role

As an Application Engineer you will provide L1/L2 technical support for LENSEC's physical security software platforms, including video management systems (VMS) and physical security information management (PSIM) solutions, to customers and partners across the Middle East and Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Handle customer and partner support cases: troubleshoot, analyse logs, diagnose root causes and resolve issues within SLA.
• Configure and troubleshoot VMS/PSIM deployments, including cameras, servers, storage and integrations.
• Work with access‑control, intrusion, fire and other ELV/IoT integrations using protocols such as ONVIF, Modbus, BACnet and REST APIs.
• Escalate product defects to L3/Engineering, coordinate resolutions and document solutions in the knowledge base.
• Support remote deployments, system upgrades and health‑check activities.

Required profile

• BSc in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience with CCTV/video surveillance, ELV systems or physical security.
• Strong knowledge of VMS platforms (e.g., Milestone, Genetec) and preferably PSIM exposure.
• Understanding of IP networking, VLANs, bandwidth/storage sizing and Windows Server environments.
• Familiarity with access‑control systems and IoT integration protocols (ONVIF, BACnet, Modbus, MQTT) is a plus.
• Experience with SQL Server and IIS is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting mindset and clear written and spoken English.
