Area Sales Manager – Cairo

About the role

Portwest, a global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE, is looking for an Area Sales Manager to lead its sales activities in Cairo, Egypt. Reporting to the Country Manager, you will be responsible for growing the business through distributors, resellers and agents across the designated region.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing accounts, conducting daily face‑to‑face sales meetings.
• Identify high‑growth customers and develop road‑maps for their expansion.
• Generate and execute sales plans to capture new business opportunities.
• Deliver consultative selling by assessing customer needs and proposing Portwest solutions.
• Prepare clear written proposals and quotations for prospects and existing clients.
• Present new product samples during meetings and follow up to close sales.
• Gather market intelligence and represent the company at trade shows, seminars and exhibitions.
• Promote distributor promotions and ensure effective after‑sales support.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience selling PPE, workwear or safety wear.
• Proven track record with manufacturers, distributors, resellers or agents.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science.
• Valid clean driving licence and willingness to travel within the region.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
• Positive, results‑driven attitude and strong desire to succeed.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
