Armed Security Officer – Alexandria, VA

About the role

Blue Raven Inc. is looking for Armed Security Officers to protect properties in Northern Virginia. In this position you will patrol client sites, enforce security protocols, and respond to incidents to keep residents and assets safe.

Key responsibilities

• Perform vehicle and foot patrols across streets, parking lots, common areas and other designated zones.
• Enforce security rules by intervening in criminal or inappropriate behavior and detaining suspects when necessary.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized vehicles, trespassers, lighting problems, and other potential threats.
• Check doors, lock them, set alarms and control access to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Conduct security assessments, report lighting issues, fence damage, overgrown areas and other vulnerabilities.
• Respond quickly to emergencies, coordinate with law‑enforcement and submit detailed incident reports.
• Follow site‑specific Post Orders and maintain a professional appearance and customer‑service mindset.

Required profile

• Must hold a valid Virginia Armed Security Officer Registration.
• Self‑motivated, alert and able to work independently.
• Ability to communicate courteously with residents, clients and law‑enforcement.
