About the role

Westview International Language School is looking for a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher for the academic year 2026-2027. The teacher delivers a comprehensive art curriculum, encourages creativity and develops students' artistic skills in a supportive and inclusive environment. The workplace is on site.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging art lessons for students of various skill levels and learning styles.
• Inspire students to explore their creativity and express themselves through diverse artistic mediums.
• Assess and monitor student progress, giving constructive feedback and support.
• Create a classroom environment that fosters artistic exploration and experimentation.
• Organize and take part in art exhibitions, workshops and school events to promote student work and the arts community.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art across the curriculum where appropriate.
• Manage art resources effectively, ensuring safety and accessibility.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching art at different educational levels preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents and staff.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and motivating learning environment.
• Good organizational skills and attention to classroom management.
• Commitment to student safeguarding and wellbeing; all appointments are subject to safeguarding checks and reference validation.
