Assistant Director of Learning & Development

About the role

Accor is seeking an Assistant Director of Learning & Development to lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of training programs in its Cairo operations. You will partner with department heads to identify skill gaps, create impactful learning solutions and nurture a culture of ongoing development.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver engaging training programs that meet organizational and individual needs.
• Conduct comprehensive training needs assessments with stakeholders to pinpoint skill gaps.
• Manage end‑to‑end L&D projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling and resource allocation.
• Evaluate program effectiveness through assessments, feedback analysis and performance metrics.
• Administer and optimise the Learning Management System (LMS), handling course uploads, user management and reporting.
• Support onboarding and career‑development pathways to boost retention and engagement.
• Mentor junior L&D team members and foster their professional growth.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices and emerging learning technologies.
• Maintain detailed training records, documentation and compliance reports.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to tailor learning solutions to business goals.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in learning and development, training or related organizational development roles.
• Professional, organised and innovative with a strategic vision and hands‑on expertise.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities, capable of engaging diverse audiences.
• Analytical mindset with excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
