Assistant Manager Finance

About the role

The Assistant Manager Finance will support the finance department by overseeing cash management, reporting, and compliance activities. This role ensures accurate financial data, timely payments, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and control cash and bank balances, and report weekly cash flow to management.
• Review bank reconciliation statements and coordinate routine bank transactions.
• Ensure timely payments to vendors, salary disbursements, and filing of direct and indirect taxes.
• Prepare customer bills in collaboration with the operations team.
• Manage collection accounting, ageing reports, and follow‑up for receivables.
• Coordinate with external auditors, prepare audit notes and schedules, and support internal audit closures.
• Liaise with government and statutory bodies for income tax, banking, and compliance matters.
• Produce monthly MIS and reports for the head office within deadlines.
• Participate in monthly management calls and present financial updates.
• Foster strong relationships across departments and contribute to team objectives.

Required profile

• Commerce graduate or postgraduate with 7‑10 years of relevant finance experience.
• Proactive, responsive, and able to meet tight timelines.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Experience in managing financial reporting, tax filing, and audit coordination.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Strong PowerPoint and spreadsheet handling skills.
