Assistant Manager – Lease Contract Management

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Lease Contract Management will maintain the lease administration function for the applicable market and support the Real Estate team. This role ensures effective controls, data accuracy, and a robust audit trail while aligning lease signing with Americana standards and policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end lease lifecycle, including execution, administration, renewals, amendments, terminations and compliance.
• Oversee commercial terms, clauses, obligations and associated financials within the lease management system.
• Track and monitor key lease events such as renewals, expirations, break options, kick‑out clauses and termination rights.
• Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, lease status reporting and monthly forecasts for lease signings and new store openings.
• Review, analyse and interpret commercial lease agreements to ensure alignment with company leasing strategy, Desired Lease Conditions and compliance requirements.
• Identify lease‑related financial risks and recommend contract amendments or mitigation actions in coordination with Legal and Finance.
• Prepare, review and negotiate lease amendments, renewals and termination agreements.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Real Estate and Operations to ensure lease structures support business objectives.
• Ensure accurate documentation, system updates and audit‑ready lease records.
• Monitor day‑to‑day lease administration operations for efficiency, accuracy and compliance.
• Track, analyse and report critical lease financial and operational data to support decision‑making.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve lease efficiency, cost optimisation and portfolio performance.
