Assistant Production Supervisor

About the role

Amentum is seeking an Assistant Production Supervisor to support the International Fleet Support effort under NAVSEA PMS 326 FOTS. Based at the Egyptian Naval Base in Alexandria, you will work closely with the Ship Repair Team to ensure production goals are met while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily production supervision for the Ship Repair Team and support the Production Supervisor and Industrial Manager.
• Plan, coordinate, and assign tasks across multiple specialized shops (valve, compressor, shaft work, pumps, motors, machinist).
• Attend production meetings with Egyptian Navy officials and report on shop performance.
• Act as primary contact for Chief Engineers and Captains, addressing questions and concerns promptly.
• Receive, inspect, verify, and distribute shop documentation ensuring compliance with standards.
• Monitor team performance, enforce safety and environmental procedures, and resolve issues efficiently.
• Contribute inputs for the Monthly Status Report.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED.
• Proven leadership experience managing 5‑10 personnel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, safety‑critical shipyard environment.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of intermediate and depot‑level repair procedures.
• Familiarity with repair, maintenance standards and quality‑assurance specifications.
• Proficiency using hand tools and precision measurement instruments.
• Experience with IMA industrial machinery.
• Basic computer operation for documentation and reporting.
