Assistant Professor – Information Technology (Tenure‑Track)

About the role

Louisiana State University at Alexandria invites applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Information Technology. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality undergraduate instruction in Information Technology and, as needed, in Computer Science and Cybersecurity, using face‑to‑face, hybrid, and online formats. The role supports the accelerated Bachelor of Science in Information Technology offered through LSU Online.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate Information Technology courses in face‑to‑face, hybrid, and online modalities.
• Provide instruction in selected Computer Science and Cybersecurity courses when required.
• Develop and maintain instructional materials that promote student success.
• Participate in curriculum development, assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain regular office hours and offer academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
• Contribute to the growth of LSUA’s Information Technology program and the LSU Online partnership.
• Maintain an active scholarly, professional, or creative program consistent with tenure‑track expectations.
• Engage in departmental, college, and university service, including committee work and faculty governance.
