Assistant Professor of Management (Full‑time, 9‑month)

About the role

The College of Business at Louisiana State University of Alexandria seeks a full‑time, nine‑month Assistant Professor of Management. The position focuses on teaching excellence, student success, and service to Central Louisiana.

Key responsibilities

• Teach a 12‑credit‑hour load each semester (four courses) in Management and related business areas.
• Develop and deliver student‑centered instruction in face‑to‑face, hybrid, and online formats.
• Participate in curriculum planning, program review, and creation of applied learning opportunities such as internships and case competitions.
• Maintain an active scholarship program aligned with ACBSP accreditation standards.
• Support accreditation activities, assessment, and continuous improvement of academic programs.
• Assist with student recruitment, retention, outreach, and alumni engagement.
• Contribute to career‑development programs and facilitate workshops with Continuing Education, the Small Business Development Center, and other regional partners.
• Engage in departmental, college, university, and professional service, including committee work and community partnerships.

Required profile

• Earned doctorate (Ph.D.) in Management or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and student success.
• Ability to contribute to scholarship and accreditation efforts.
