Assistant Project Manager – Digital Sponsorship Project

About the role

The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and monitoring digital sponsorship initiatives across multiple countries. The role ensures timely execution, stakeholder alignment, and compliance with project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing project activities across several countries and implementation phases.
• Coordinate with partners, internal teams, country offices, suppliers, and merchants.
• Track beneficiary data readiness, onboarding activities, and operational requirements.
• Monitor project timelines, milestones, risks, and action items.
• Prepare project reports, dashboards, presentations, and management updates.
• Follow up on merchant onboarding, contracting, and operational readiness.
• Maintain project documentation, meeting minutes, and issue logs.
• Support testing, rollout, and expansion activities in target countries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in project coordination or project management, preferably with multi‑country projects.
• Experience working with NGOs, humanitarian programs, digital platforms, fintech or large‑scale operations is an advantage.
• Professional certification in Project Management (PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2, Agile) is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Project management tools such as MS Project, Planner, Jira and Trello.
• Proficiency with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and applications.
• Data analysis and reporting capabilities.
